Ordinance Implementation

Municipalities and counties across South Carolina are enacting comprehensive smoke-free workplace laws that protect all employees, including those in bars and restaurants, from secondhand smoke exposure in the workplace. Currently, 56 counties and municipalities representing 39% of the state's population have chosen to enact comprehensive smoke-free ordinances. 

The following lists the county and cities alphabetically and includes a phone number for reporting violations.   Find a list of the top ten cities and towns in South Carolina where workers are not protected by comprehensive smoke-free workplace laws at the bottom of this page.
