About
Community Partnership Grants
The South Carolina Tobacco Collaborative (SCTC) counts on the grassroots work of community based organizations to further its mission of reducing the toll of tobacco use in our state. We provide Community Partnership Grants to help communities:
- prevent individuals, particularly youth, from starting to smoke or use tobacco in other forms
- eliminate nonsmoker's exposure to second hand smoke
- and/or provide assistance to those who wish to quit smoking
SCTC offers grants of up to $8,000.00 to local organizations and coalitions who have or wish to develop programs and activites designed to achieve one or more of these goals. All projects must be for localized, community-based efforts, and will deliver some measure of the State of South Carolina's Five Year Plan for reducing the toll of tobacco in the state. (see http://www.sctobacco.org/about/stateplan.aspx). The Collaborative also works to use these grants to foster collaboration among organizations across the state.
